In the fall of 2024, McDonald’s unveiled a new product with a similar name: the Chicken Big Mac. The overall campaign was meant to spark debate between Big Mac purists and chicken enthusiasts.
For our AAPI segment, we uncovered that the older generation loved the OG Big Mac because they saw it as a true American classic, while the younger generation may never have even tried a Big Mac and actually prefer McDonald’s chicken options.
So we reunited everybody’s favorite Asian American TV father-son duo, Fresh Off The Boat’s Randall Park and Hudson Yang, to speak on their respective generation’s behalf.
